The Lightning will be back in action on Friday afternoon as they travel to Connecticut to participate in the Central Connecticut State Invitational. On the women's side, Nidia Nelson led the way with an 18th place finish in the discus with a mark of 22.34m, 19th in the hammer with a mark of 28.24m, a 15th place finish in the javelin with a mark of 25.87m.and a 20th place in the shot put with a mark of 8.42m. The 4 X 100 relay team of Cassin, Brown, Ismael Barry and Michael Essien placed sixth in a time of 47.37. In the javelin freshman Andrew Cassin placed 16th with a mark of 34.31m and 20th in the long jump with a mark of 6.06m. He also finished 14th in the shot put with a mark of 10.58m. Kennedy Ebeziem led Lehman in the field events finishing 11th in the discus with a mark of 36.68m. ![]() Team mate Kal-El Brown finished right behind him in 19.94. He also laced 11th in the 400 Hurdles in a time of 1:10.39. Freshman Noah Taylor is coming off an impressive freshman Cross-Country season where he led the Broncs in two courses.The Lehman College Track & Field teams traveled to south Jersey to participate in the Rider University Invitational.ĭontay Washington led the men's squad with an eighth place finish in the 110 hurdles in a time of 19.04. Junior Gobi Thurairajah led the Broncs at the Leopard Invitational this Cross-Country season. Senior Brian Spolarich led the Broncs in one course during the fall Cross-Country tour. Senior Ben Woodward is coming off a Cross-Country campaign where he led the Broncs in four of the courses in the fall. On the positive side, this means the program didnt lose any. Silver-winners Jerome Boyer for the 4x100 team, along with Marques Merriweather for the 110 hurdles return, as does bronze winner James Green from the 400. The mens track and field program at Rider made 630,414 in revenue and spent 630,414 in expenses. Gold-winner Artie Burgess for the 100m dash, Tamrat Snyder and Kevin Heredia for the 4x800 relay are also returning. Also returning is Field Rookie of the Meet Zach Manorowitz after taking silver in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump. Clair who took the Most Outstanding Field Performer after claiming gold in the high jump and taking silver in the triple jump. The Rider men claimed 2 nd place at the 2021 Outdoor MAAC Championships. Artie Burgess finished the 60m dash in 6.78 for a second-place finish. Marques Merriweather took second place in the high jump with a mark of 1.94m. The Broncs return Dyani Bigelow who took silver in the 400m hurdles and Genesis Walker who also took silver in the 100m dash.
